How have you seen God working in your life?
Complementing Psalm 90, I read a quote from T. Studd, who says, "There is only one life, which will soon pass, and only what has been lived for Christ will remain."The Lord has been working in my life through different circumstances to be able to realize how I am using the life he has given me and the time I receive day by day by grace? That is why I enjoy being able to speak that there is nothing better than living for His glory in my family, in the work of planting, in my community, that God saves me to be part of something much greater than my own kingdom, to be part of proclaiming His kingdom. God has been breaking me and shaping me through circumstances to realize my condition in need of God's transforming grace, it is what has led me to this reflection, meditating on Psalm 90 during the last months. Although death is the best thing that could happen to me to enjoy Christ, I know that meditating on the brevity of life makes me reflect on living so that Christ is loved, proclaimed, treasured and known.
How have you seen god working in your family?
In these early days as parents, we have come to deeply understand God's work in our family. The arrival of our baby has brought about a shift in responsibilities, challenges, and exhausting moments, but amid all this, we have witnessed divine grace manifesting in surprising ways.
The constant demand for attention and care for our little one has revealed the importance of rest, both physical and spiritual. Fatigue and sleepless nights could easily lead to despair if not for divine provision. Beyond physical rest, we have discovered the value of spiritual rest. In moments of extreme exhaustion, when lack of sleep threatens to cloud mental clarity, we have found comfort in God's constant presence. Silent prayers during sleepless nights have become a refuge of peace for both of us, reminding us that we are not alone in this journey of parenthood. In those moments, I have experienced the truth of the words in Isaiah 40:29: "He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak." God not only provides physical rest but infuses power and strength in moments of weakness. As we face new responsibilities as parents, we have found that "me time" takes on its true meaning in time dedicated to seeking the Creator's presence, who renews our strength and equips us for daily service.
How have you seen god working in your church?
I have witnessed the work of God transforming the culture of confession and restoration in our faith community. Those who come from churches not centered on Christ carry with them the fear of confessing due to the dread of rejection, and new believers have the opportunity to grow in a community that walks with them in their confession toward the restoration available through the gospel. In our church, I have observed how prayer and preaching have become powerful tools to foster corporate responsibility and share burdens. The incorporation of specific moments of confession in our gatherings has triggered a collective habit, allowing the majority of members to open up and confess sins transparently, much like the work in mission communities we have in homes during the week. This precedent has created a space where even the most timid can free themselves from shame, and as a leader, I make it clear that I am in need of remembering the gospel as they are and as in need of Christ as they are. And I give glory to God for that.
